About the club
A community club built for competition.
Burden Park Tennis Club has fielded teams on Olympic Avenue since 1959. Today around200 members — including 14 Life Members — play across Juniors, Seniors, Night Tennis and Midweek Pennant, on top of a strong social tennis following.Around 70% of members are of Asian background, predominantly Vietnamese, alongside members of European heritage — a reflection of Springvale South itself.
All 6 courts are mod-grass (synthetic grass), floodlit for night tennis and open for casual hire. The clubhouse has a fully equipped kitchen, change rooms, an outdoor shelter and a barbecue — fully equipped kitchen, change rooms, outdoor shelter, barbecue, kept running by an energetic volunteer committee.

Night Tennis Under the Lights
Burden Park has fielded WDTA teams under lights every Tuesday night since floodlighting went in across all six courts in 2008. It's competitive, social, and — with the shelter and barbecue right courtside — one of the best nights of the club calendar.
