A large multi-generation group of Burden Park members, kids and adults, gathered outside the clubhouse

Burden Park Tennis Club · Springvale South

More Than Tennis.
A Community Since 1959.

Six courts, one clubhouse, and a group of people who've been showing up for each other since 1959. Whatever your standard, you'll always find a hit here.

Welcome

A club built by its own members

Burden Park Tennis Club has called this corner of Springvale South home since Springvale City Council first made the land available in August 1959. Members raised money themselves to get it built — even the first clubhouse was made from the remains of an old Volkswagen crate, put together by volunteers in time for the club's first AGM in 1961.

Today you'll find six mod-grass courts, all floodlit for night tennis, and a clubhouse with a full kitchen, change rooms, an outdoor shelter and a barbecue — kept running mostly by the members who use it.

We're proud to be backed by three local businesses: Springvale RSL, Penny Kha & Associates Accountants, Top Agents Real Estate.

Meet Our Members

The people who make it a club, not just courts

Ask anyone who plays here and they'll tell you the same thing — it's not really about the tennis. It's the Tuesday hit, the chat after the match, the coach who remembers your kid's name. These are our members: on court, at training, and around the clubhouse table. Every photo on this site is a real Burden Park member — never a stock photo.
